Can Pressures be Stronger than the Popular Will to Resist

The US and European members of the NATO have not only in the last fifteen and a half months, since the end of the aggression, closely and without rest followed the events on the political scene in the FRY and especially all the activities of the Yugoslav Army (YA), but have feverishly sought and still seek a pretext, any pretext to yet again without any evidence accuse our military and state leadership and justify a new military intervention in order to under a flimsy disguise of "democratization" of this part of the Balkans make yet another step in their long ago planned and ruthless march to the East.

It is obvious, however, that the arrogant and exclusive administration is for now keeping the military option in reserve, trying to impose its ambitions regarding the readjustment of relations on the planet in an extremely perfidious manner. It is doing so according to its own preferences and its rather questionable standards by deepening and worsening the crisis in the relations between Montenegro and Serbia in parallel with encouraging disturbances and divisions within Serbia.

The KFOR and SFOR are deeply involved in these and such plans.

Increased Spying Activities

For example, the SFOR command has recently, after a hint from Washington, intensified all spying activities with respect to FRY, above all aviation and helicopters, in the zone Trebinje-Bileca-Gacko in order to identify and locate the elements of the YA Anti-aircraft defense system in the Second Army zone of responsibility.

At the same time, two "mobile refugee bases" have been formed in the FRY border belt, one in the area of Zvornik and Visegrad, controlled by the Portuguese contingent, recently reinforced by Italian soldiers and international special police forces, and the other one in the Bileca and Trebinje region, under close scrutiny of the Spanish SFOR troops.

This was done to create conditions for the implementation of a scenario, developed into smallest details, and easily recognized because it has been implemented several times in the former Yugoslavia, most recently in Kosovo and Metohija. This plan envisages that a wave of Muslim refugees start before winter from Raska [Sandzak], because of alleged endangerment on the ethnic basis. To make the staged "exodus" more convincing for the needs of the western media, 10,000 tents were secretly shipped to Kosovska Mitrovica in early July in order to be used for the accommodation of Muslims from Sjenica and Tutin at a suitable moment, while near Skadar in Albania an improvised "refugee" camp has also been built.

At the same time Belgian "peace missionaries" have set up in the southern Serbian province, in the northern part of Kosovo and Metohija, a radar for surface observation and control of the Land Security Zone (5 kilometers wide) and a part of territory within FRY. The radar of that type, which is not for the first time used by KFOR, can detect individual moving objects under all weather conditions - soldiers at the distance of 12 km, armored vehicles at the distance of 33 km, and helicopters at the distance of up to 22 km.

In coordination with the activities of the SFOR and KFOR, the government in Podgorica [Montenegro] has started without any pretext a mobilization of police reservists in spite of public assurances about the democratic essence of the authorities.

However, if one has in mind the fact that some organizations, close to the ruling coalition in Montenegro, were ordered to establish a tightly knit network and to regularly inform about all activities of the Second Army, and especially the Seventh Battalion of the Military Police, which is an elite unit, then to carefully watch the units of the Anti-Aircraft defense, to establish their positions using the Global Positioning System (GPS) and to report about the activities of the Yugoslav Navy, and position of the forces of the Second Army of YA, everything becomes much more clear. Especially to the uninformed individuals.

Confirmation of the US Air Force Commander in Europe

NATO provides clear support to the mentioned activities by brutally "brandishing" weapons in our region. For example, after the first one in the series of planned exercises "for the imposition of peace" which, under the code-name "Cooperative Key 2000" was finished in mid-September in Romania, on Monday September 25 a military exercise named "Buffer 2000" started in the region of the Gibraltar. This exercise will continue until October 5 and will include Spanish and Turkish navies.

That, however, is not all. In October, again in Romania, at the Black sea shore, a multinational military exercise of NATO navies will be held under code-name "Argonaut 2000". It is definitely known that that exercise will include 3,200 soldiers and commandos from British and Dutch tactical fighting groups. The goal of the exercise, according to NATO officials, is to test the capability for offering support to attacking units.

The same forces will, then be active in the Aegean sea, Black sea and eastern Mediterranean in the exercise "Deserved Glory 2000" where, together with the British 42nd fighting groups of marines they will conduct a tactical air-land operation in which the participation of permanent naval forces in the Mediterranean (Stanavformed) and NATO Mediterranean forces (Navocformed) has already been announced. This exercise should include about 70 ships.

In that context, another indicative information is that the American SFOR command has recently moved the battalion "North", otherwise specialized for the psychological-spying operations, from Tuzla to Mostar and that it has opened new radio-monitoring centers in Bosnia-Hercegovina next to the FRY border.

It is obvious that the spy-propaganda ring and threatening military ring of the NATO is again, and not by chance at the elections time, slowly closing in around Serbia and FRY. That has recently been unequivocally confirmed by the NATO Air Force commander in Europe, American General Gregory Martin. He stated that NATO is well prepared for a new aggression and that it has already developed several options for an attack on Serb forces.

However, can all those pressures be stronger than the will of the people to resist? The people that has on numerous occasions, and most recently in the spring of 1999 demonstrated and proven its enormous indomitable force, persistence and fighting spirit that is drawn from pure, unconquered, Slav soul and spiritual superiority over arrogance and greed of economically invincible nations?

History, ancient as well as recent, without any doubt confirms that they cannot do that.
