Nevertheless, in the rest of the world good sense prevailed, so that the leaders of opposing ideologies, communists and liberal democrats (anti-Communists), allied in an anti-fascist alliance, brought fascism down.
Neofascism has also been created by those who had nurtured fascism, and based on all of its hitherto exhibited characteristics it has all criminal traits of fascism from WWII. The essence of the ideology of both is the conquest of the world by force and subjugation of small nations using all means available.
However, it must be emphasized that fascism was not destroyed and uprooted, but has been hiding under disguise and waiting for a chance to step back on the world stage. Even during WWII fascism found a heaven in the countries of Western democracy, even more than in Italy and Germany. The game to preserve fascism was yet again led by the Catholic Church, which as early as 1943 proposed to western powerbrokers to sign a peace with Germany and turn together against Communism and Soviet Union. At the time of the fascist defeat, many war criminals from Germany, Poland, and Yugoslavia found shelter in Western countries and, again in organization of the Vatican and the United States, reached Latin America.
All the basic ideological premises of fascism are built in in the theory of the "new world order", in attempts of the US to thoroughly reorder the world. Thus fascist ideas survived their defeat in WWII, based on the well-known principle that an ideologist may be killed, but his ideology survives. Fasicsm was capable of skillfully changing its image and mode of action and turned out to be able to adapt to new conditions. Thus, during the Cold War neofascism was successfully disguised and at the given moment it took its mask off giving itself the right to get transformed into a supposedly democratic order. A rehabilitation of fascism took place. Many anti-fascist slogans, songs, films disappeared and many fascist symbols were brought back. Many war criminals returned to their countries. In Croatia, the fascist regime of Ante Pavelic was rehabilitated and Havel apologized to Germans for the victims they had suffered. These days, quislings and fascist collaborators with pride emphasize what they did during the war. Thus, defascization was spreading rapidly and it seemed that war horrors have been forgotten.
While in the thirties Hitler used German economy for the production of weapons and equipment for his military machinery, today in the US 67% of all scientific projects are targeting military needs. But, if about 10 million workers in the armaments industry are demanding consumption and sale of their products, that can only mean war. The United States today, just like the Third German Reich, has been converted into a militaristic state. Both countries have opted to achieve their economic, political and military goals using violence, and that implies reordering of the world with application of force and brutal military violence. Both countries use similar methods for subjugation of other nations; they both use forceful propaganda, misinformation and lies; destructive activities for undermining of other state systems through various political parties, non-governmental organizations and foundations; development of intelligence and subversive activities; they use terrorism as a method for showdowns, organize a fifth column with reliance on various puppet political forces, and if none of that gives results, they initiate wars. Unlike Hitler, who used a combination of aviation and tanks for his wars, the US and NATO lead wars from distance, as is made possible by modern aviation and developed rocket systems. Both countries have waged information wars: The US only further developed Goebbels' philosophy of war propaganda. It is only necessary to recall that in 1939 Hitler announced on radio that Poland had attacked Germany and that he was forced to declare war on Poland. Or, on may 9, 1940, when German planes had already started towards France, at 10pm Hitler on radio denied rumors that Germany was about to attack France. It was necessary to fool the victim. We are witnesses that the same methods are used today. Diversions are staged and then victims are accused of committing crimes. A victim becomes a criminal and the other way round. Therefore, almost identical cases from WWII are repeated today.
Fascist Germany rejected all limitations imposed by international institutions, left the League of Nations and thereby obtained open hands for its actions, while the American neofascism has also rejected all limitations and obligations towards the United Nations and the Security Council, and has even harnessed them to work for it in the implementation of its expansion and it has also established separate institutions such as NATO and the Hague Tribunal, as well as many other organizations. Our civilization is facing a catastrophic end because of application of force and lawlessness. Therefore, the leading power has circumvented all the existing international institutions, so that just like fascist Germany it is acting with almost no limitations.
Large capital and large companies encouraged Hitler to establish armed forces for protection against Communism, and when these forces gained in strength they directed them against other nations and for conquest of economic resources, above all oil and gas, as well as conquest of new space. NATO was formed in a similar manner, several years after the defeat of German militarism, purportedly for the protection of the West from the Communist block in the East; later NATO grew in a force for aggression against other disobedient nations and occupation of new territories. The greatest paradox are assurances that the use of NATO is in the interest of the protection of human rights and democracy, which has never been the case. Thus, NATO has only supplanted the German occupation forces in western Europe and became a tool for fulfillment of aims of the "new world order", i.e. conquest of someone else's territories and resources.
It should be emphasized that based on the experiences from WWII new methods for genocidal extermination of peoples have been developed. There I above all include ethnic cleansing, use of narcotics for worst imaginable goals, spread of religious sects, as well as abuse of genetics as the science for the destruction of people. Today, it is already public knowledge that American products, above all medications and food distributed as humanitarian assistance, have caused many disasters. What cynicism!
Our neighbors have, just like 60 years ago, timely joined German and now NATO aggressors to break up Yugoslavia. In both cases puppet regimes in neighboring countries sided with the aggressor, all because of their petty interests, but in the end most of them paid for such behavior. In both cases they naively fell for empty words, flattery and fake promises of the occupier.
Unlike Gemrany, the huge economic power of the US and its allies is considered sufficient to with blackmail, pressures, sanctions, or even bombardment from high altitude, just as they did in Bosnia and Kosmet, make up for the use of ground troops that Hitler was forced to rely on in WWII. That indicates that the "new world order" as transformed fascism is dictating brutal violations of elementary human rights, even using genocidal measures. Ethnic cleansing and dismemberment of Yugoslavia were used by both. Instead of concentration death camps, contemporary neofascists use the Hague Tribunal against innocent people, and personally, or through quisling organizations, such as the "KLA" in Kosovo and Ustashe in Croatia, they are carrying out mass murder of civilians. Operations "Flash" and "Storm" in Croatia were conducted under American control. Unfortunately, in both cases Yugoslavia and the Serb people were used as training grounds for fascism and neofascism and for experiments with expansionist political and military concept and testing of the most murderous mass destruction weapons.
Because of its geostrategic and military importance in Southeastern Europe, Yugoslavia has almost always found itself on the path of foreign conquerors from both East and West as an obstacle to the fulfillment of their strategic goals. Yugoslavia resisted fascism and neofascism in both wars. The resistance of Yugoslavia and events from March 1941 were experienced by Hitler as an unexpected blow. That was his first political defeat. And his war against Yugoslavia had tangible consequences for the events on the Eastern front in 1941, when the blitzkrieg strategy experienced its first defeat. After 60 years, the situation is the same. The rejection of the plan in Rambouillet is the same as the rejection of the pact with Germany in 1941.
The successful resistance of Serbia and Yugoslavia in 1999 and the failure of neofascist conquerors to finish the war in the Balkans also has far reaching consequences on the international scene. The resistance of Yugoslavia largely influenced the realignment of the forces in the world. That in turn jolted large Euroasian powers into growing closer and setting up a strong anti-American alliance in order to prevent the advance of NATO towards East. That also largely influenced progressive forces in the subjugated Western Europe, where a gradual awakening and sobering up of the intellectual and patriotic forces in these countries has resulted. Thus, after the unsuccessful aggression against Yugoslavia, the global situation and balance of power in the world is gradually changing. We shall see whether this is a turning point.
And finally, neofascism marked war as the means for the change of balance of power in the world, just as fascism did on the eve of WWII. However, all polls indicate that young generations will realize the danger stemming from the restoration of fascism. That gives hope that neofascism is an ephemeral phenomenon, although the warnings that in WWII fascism was not destroyed but only defeated are correct. Because of that, the struggle against fascism is not over yet.
