At the time of making of the decision regarding the early general election and the independence referendum, the number of staged strikes and other protest rallies has been increasing in Montenegro. The goal of these gatherings is the destabilization of Montenegro, based on the orders of caretakers from Belgrade or their servants in Montenegro. That is expected and has already been seen. However, without denying the legal right to strike in accordance with Law, and organize other public gatherings, those who are being manipulated must be aware that that can have unforeseen consequences. Before the election, conditions must be created in which citizens can freely express their support for a particular political party and status of the state they live in. Therefore in the period before the election, without questioning justified nature of certain demands, there must be no disturbances, fanning of dissatisfaction among workers, creation of chaos and possible disorder, all of which are against the interests of the advocates of democracy and civilized society we strive for.
Using the excuse of social protests, certain circles are fanning dissatisfaction among workers, some of whom have initiated hunger strikes, for the purpose of scoring cheap political points. All of this is taking place at the time when the Montenegrin government has accepted demands of the Association of the Independent Trade Unions (VSSS) of Montenegro. Namely, as has been stated, "the Montenegrin Government has formed a commission whose members are representatives of the Ministry of Work and Social Care, VSSS of Montenegro, competent ministries and the state treasury, in order to secure resources for regular payment of guaranteed wages. The government has expressed readiness to, together with funds and employers, participate in the payment of the salaries, according to the schedule that would be agreed with the Trade Union, and in accordance with the available resources". Workers are dissatisfied with their standard, but they must take into account the circumstances that led to their current position, such as the war with the rest of the world and isolation from the international community. Without foreign investment, links with international organizations, open market, and privatization, it is impossible to expect better results.
In spite of that, those who only care about disturbances and are too lazy to work, consciously choose companies and environments in which they try to achieve their political goals. However, those whom they are trying to manipulate must be patient and aware of their historical responsibility regarding the new Montenegro. According to public opinion polls, a majority of the citizens of Montenegro will vote for independence, and they find the platform of the Montenegrin Government for negotiations with the Government of Serbia regarding the future relations between the two states most acceptable.
During the coming three months pressure from plotters in Belgrade and their supporters in Montenegro will increase. But, above all we must keep in mind the national and state interests of Montenegro. Consequently we must resist all pressures. At the time of making of the decision regarding the early general election and the independence referendum, there is no space for fanning of dissatisfaction. Instead we should accept the will of a majority of citizens. They should in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere freely choose their representatives and decide about the fate of their state Montenegro. That is their sovereign right that cannot be denied by the international community. That is why until the elections we should all return to our daily obligations, and deal with all conflicts through courts or by consensus. Because, all sorts of strikes and protest rallies at this time mostly have political connotations, and participants in these events can be manipulated. Disorder and chaos only suit enemies of democracy, who do not wish well for others.
