Vreme is the most recent addition to the Macedonian media scene. The daily
was founded in early 2004 by disgruntled journalists from Dnevnik
and Utrinski Vesnik, newly acquired by the German media giant WAZ.
Opposed to the encroaching monopolization of the market and increasing commecialization
of the editorial policies in their home publication, these journalists founded
Vreme, with the goal to continue providing good, investigative reporting.
