Imagine, NATO does not know what UKSh is, and a few months ago the US administration placed that organization on its "black list". They definitely had enough data to support such an important decision. But, in Macedonia, nothing is serious and almost nothing is known. Even whether there is a realistic chance of an outbreak of a new conflict.
"Virtual" UKSh, which yesterday killed several members of the "disbanded" UCK, a week ago declared liberated territories and declared a war with the goal of liberating all "Albanian territories". It declared war to Macedonian Albanians, as well as to Macedonia, its integrity and sovereignty. That is why friendly assurances by the German ambassador Klaus Folers that in Mala Recica we had "an insignificant incident provoked by an isolated group, which was definitely not an attack against the state," should be taken as a serious warning. There is so much weaponry, so many unresolved issues among Albanians... However, their mutual showdowns and our own showdowns are keeping Macedonia on the bottom, keeping it away from Europe and from democracy. Ethnic Albanian politicians who have produced these problems are only concerned that their standing with the international community has started to precipitously drop! What a surprise! Interestingly, they are not concerned about the effect the weaponry they keep at home has on Macedonia.
The international community, after being a midwife during the birth of this baby, now realizes that something stinks in here, and that that ugly baby is using too many diapers. The international community can hardly discuss the situation in Macedonia with conceit. Their analyses turned out to be wrong. In places where rights of ethnic Albanians were supposed to be improved, we got instead implementation of the laws of organized crime. This is a serious blow to the integrity of the international community, that much is clear.
For example, how will the people from NATO or OSCE respond to the statement that there will be no problems in Sipkovica when the police returns, but there could be problems with people who had come from Kosovo? Why has NATO only now spotted "Kosovization" of Macedonia? Recently, even ethnic Albanian population from the Kumanovo region asked OSCE and NATO for assistance in front of the attack of a "bloodthirsty" gang from Kosovo.
And they still try to convince us that this is an internal Macedonian problem, as Xhaferi claimed during the crisis in Tanusevci, the crisis that Albanians were supposed to resolve among themselves.
Where does the state stand in this story? It sits and watches a show on the Internet? This is not a show, this is a new development in the crisis and yet another attack on the sovereignty of Macedonia. Residents of Lojane or Vaksince are citizens of Macedonia and the state must not abandon them to the mercy of members of UKSh. If they think that a conflict between Albanians will be simply "their civil war", they are wrong, because all of us will become a part of this conflict.
If the police force does not at least symbolically enter Sipkovica, that will be a bad sign, because a state must show preparedness and will to establish sovereignty and control everywhere on its territory. There can be no negotiations about that issue. All that is needed is that someone in this state finally start implementing the Constitution.
