This is the end of all our hopes that this six-months war will end peacefully, intelligently, with a political agreement. The moment that we hoped would never come is with us. The time has come to recognize that Macedonian people must at this moment deny legitimacy to any politician who would sign any sort of political agreement with Albanians, as long as Albanian terrorists are perfidiously killing Macedonian soldiers, policemen and civilians and attempting to at any cost fulfill their territorial ambitions. An agreement that may be signed under such circumstances and under such threats against Macedonians in Macedonia cannot have either legal or political, least of all historical significance. Signatories of such an agreement would be denounced as traitors.
And - that's it. Yes, that should be the end. With all due respect for the heroic attempt of Macedonian politicians to reach compromise, agreement and peace (for which they received undivided support from each and every one of us), and naturally with deserved attention given to the efforts of the international community to mediate in the peaceful solution of the crisis, we have a patriotic and personal obligation to declare an end. Kraj. Fud. The end. Fine.
There's nothing left to talk about and to negotiate about. The Macedonians gave what they were expected to give. If all of this was about rights, here - we gave the rights that cannot be found in any normal European centralized state. If all of this was about tolerance, we were tolerant long enough, we were killed from ambush, spied on, betrayed and sold enough. If all of this was about trust, we've trusted them enough, both the Albanians and foreigners.
Macedonians cannot give, negotiate, tolerate and trust anymore. They were victims in this war - murdered, robbed, expelled, lied to. They have nothing and no one to believe in, apart from their two hands. They have no choice. As many times before in our history, we again must chose between freedom and death. And we believed that we could chose peace, coexistence, European future.
We demand that Macedonian politicians, if they still count on any personal and political future in this piece of land, be courageous at this time. We demand that commander in chief Boris Trajkovski immediately put on military fatigues and join his soldiers in Tetovo. We demand that the leader of Socialdemocrats Branko Crvenkovski join him, as he said that Macedonia is defended in Tetovo. (We do not demand anything from Prime Minister Ljubco Georgievski except that he stay out of sight). We demand that people we elected, paid and fed so that they could lead us in good and bad times, lead us to the battle for justice, peace, and freedom.
We want to say something to the foreign representatives and diplomats as well, to George Robertson, to Javier Solana and others. Macedonians who trust you can at this moment be counted with fingers of one hand! Macedonians cannot accept your hypocritical games. Macedonians cannot anymore respond "proportionally". You can apply pressure, you can even bomb Skopje if you wish, since we do not care whether bombs will come from you or your black-clad proteges, it's all the same.
And when you finish your dirty job, when you divide Macedonia, our suffering will end, and yours will only start. With your money you'll try to transform that part of occupied Macedonian land into a state, just the way you tried to do in Kosovo. You will try to turn those bandits into some sort of army or police. And that will seem expensive to you. Your soldiers will return in body bags. You will feed refugees. Bombs will explode in your capitals, while your children will be addicted to drugs arriving directly from the Tetovo enclave. Then you'll have to explain to your voters what sort of monster you've built and are paying for in the Balkans.
Here, that's how it is my Macedonians. There is no running away from fate. We did everything to achieve peace and we should not regret that. We did everything for love to prevail and we should not regret that. It becomes Christians to seek peace and love. And now, we're ready to face our fate. May the Lord lead and protect us.
