Hague Conspiracy

This time, in our opinion, HTV's street poll was not rigged and the replies from random passers-by were unanimous: What do I think about the Hague Tribunal? All the worst! Only Croats are on trial! Only Croats are blamed for war crimes! Only Croats are imprisoned in the Hague! Only Croats have been accused of crimes!

Such statements (mostly said with open anger and bitterness) do not have any basis in reality. Facts about imprisoned, indicted, and tried individuals in the Hague are significantly different. However, the interviewed citizens seem like people who do not have any doubts about what they are saying into the HTV microphone. And, really, they do not have any doubts. They are just repeating what they had heard thousands of times from the very same HTV. Yet again, we are witnessing the story about a hundred times repeated lie which becomes a well known and widely accepted truth.

However, when Marinko Liovic, president of HVIDRA, and obviously a person who does not get all of his information from TV screens, expresses his opinion about the Hague Tribunal in the same manner, that is obviously a sign of a different sort of a problem. Especially if one considers the reasons used by Liovic to explain the faults of the Hague Tribunal: according to the discovery, which Liovic has recently made public, the Hague Tribunal was "established by American Masons and Jews"!

The Hague Tribunal, therefore, is nothing but another example of a Masonic-Jewish conspiracy. "Yet another", since in the past there has been many examples of this phenomenon. History records that Axis Powers, including of course NDH, explained the entry of USA into WWII by "a Masonic-Jewish conspiracy" and that NDH was throughout WWII covered by propaganda posters about all sorts of Masonic-Jewish conspiracies. As early as at the end of nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century, a Masonic-Jewish conspiracy was used as an excuse for pogroms of Jews in the Imperial Russia.

Regardless of whether Liovic is aware of that or not, discoveries of Masonic-Jewish conspiracies, as well as the inclination to explain political events by hidden actions of Masons and Jews is an eminently Anti-Semitic characteristic. Many will, of course, immediately claim that there is no trace of Anti-Semitism in Croatia today, although they will admit that Anti-Semitism follows every sort of racial, ethnic, and religious intolerance.

However, hopefully no one would be prepared to claim that there is no trace of such phenomena in today's Croatia. Even if, by chance, recently Slobodna Dalmacija did not publish a letter of the local organization of HVIDRA regarding the incident at a discussion with Drazen Budisa. The letter attempts to discredit two Rogosics, the organizer and moderator of the discussion, by pointing out two, for the authors of the letter obviously very important facts: that first Rogosic is a grandson of Vasilije, while the second one is the son of Stevan[these are traditionally Serb names, so the implication is that the two gentlemen are not "pure-blooded" Croats].

Even if, these days and regarding the same incident, Ante Jozic president of the county council of UHHDR [another organization of Croatian war veterans] did not state that Croatian defenders "made this state exclusively for the Croat people" and that in such a state "the president can be only a Croat - the father of the nation, rather than some mongrels".
