Devil's Embrace

By Dr. Zivorad Djordjevic

Borba, Belgrade, FR Yugoslavia, January 19 1999

There is no doubt any more: the world is faced with a cruel danger from the unprecedented vandalism of the so-called New World Order. We are exposed to the greater and more perfidious violence than our ancestors were during the fascist aggression.

Because of its greed for conquest, this dangerous group of bullies is not choosy when it comes to its allies. Ethnic Albanian terrorists and their Islamic fundamentalist mentors are their latest devil that ominously threatens the mankind. This assertion is not just an empty guess nor is it an attempt to frighten innocent people. Decrepit American General Walker wants to save his president by supporting ethnic Albanian terrorists, those followers of Bin Laden, going along with Demaci and Berisha. The new bridegroom Robin Cook hides his new marriage by defending the terrorists, while ethnic Albanian terrorists and other mujahidins are supported and aided by many other frustrated lovers, homosexuals, senile cabinet warriors and mediocre politicians.

In the world dominated by stupid and arrogant politics live people and nations that do not seem to be concerned. They experience the violence of bullies and terrorism as if all that were happening on the screen. Others are so economically and mentally weak that they believe their former imperial power is sufficient defense from the new world evil. Others think that their fast development will make them so strong in the future that it is enough to be convincingly neutral today.

What is then left for those who in spite of everything want to keep their freedom, sovereignty, national dignity and natural resources? For those like us, who understand and feel the seriousness of the fascist-like violence of America and its political allies? Is it consolation enough that we are today almost the only conscience of that part of the world that wants to live free and upright on its hearth? Those who want to live in a free and dignified way, using all their natural and spiritual wealth, those who want to wake up smiling and with hope, must in this cruel environment fight for what should be theirs based on the rules and norms of the mankind. Our people, whose tradition is made of heroism and pride, has no choice. We love our present and future too much to give all that up easily to the insatiable bullies and mediocre individuals. We shall not be ashamed before our future generations because of that. They would not forgive us if we gave in to this aggression.

And it is better to be alone than to be in such company. The world probably does not even realize how deep it is in devil's embrace.
