Argument is a biweekly newspaper, issued by Politika, the largest newspaper and magazine publishing house in Yugoslavia. Politika has had a history of trying to break out of the government's embrace. Although now nominally independent its publications mostly follow the line of the support for or loyal opposition to the government. August 1996: alas, Argument is no more with us!
